HAWICK COMMUNITY COUNCIL is one of 69 Community Councils operating across the Scottish Borders area under the umbrella of the Scottish Borders Community Council Network responsible for reporting to Scottish Borders Council. Along with Burnfoot Community Council, we cover the Hawick & Hermitage and Hawick & Denholm Ward areas.
Our purpose is to express the views of the Hawick community to Scottish Borders Council, or to other responsible public authorities, on matters raised with us for which those authorities are responsible.
Our Community Council is composed of a maximum of 15 elected members along with our 6 Scottish Borders Councillors who are ex-officio members. For further information on how we operate, a copy of our Constitution is available here
If you have anything to report or wish to raise with us, please contact us using our Contact Us Form or you can email us on hawickcc@gmail.com
We also carry out various work during the year via our Sub-Committees and you can learn more about these by clicking on the Sub-Committees tab. We will keep you updated on news & events from our Sub-Committee work as well as any initiatives of our Community Partners affecting our town, and which might be of interest.
