Teviot and Liddesdale Neighbourhood Support Fund 2022-23

The Teviot & Liddesdale Neighbourhood Support Fund 2022-23 (previously known as the Community Fund) is open for applications.  This Fund will assist voluntary and community groups that are active within their communities and who are planning community-based projects.  Community groups are encouraged to think about how these funds can meet local need to strengthen communities and benefit the lives of people living in the Scottish Borders.

Funding can be used for a variety of purposes such as:

  • the purchase of equipment
  • small capital works
  • hire and running costs
  • maintenance costs
  • capacity building projects

Pot A fund availability for Hawick community projects is £11,513.35.  Applicants can apply for:

  • Micro Grants up to £500
  • Resilience activities up to £1.5k
  • Neighbourhood Support Fund grants one full share per community council area £3,783.25

Pot B availability for the wider Teviot and Liddesdale area is £38,542.10 and has an application limit of £5k.

Applications

Applications to Teviot and Liddesdale are now online.  All supporting documents where required must be submitted when completing your application.  If you need help to complete the online form, contact the Communities and Partnership team at Scottish Borders Council – T: 0300 100 1800 or E: communitygrants@scotborders.gov.uk  If you have received a grant previously, a grant evaluation must be completed before you can apply for a new grant.

The Neighbourhood Support Fund will be operated in line with Scottish Borders Council’s principles of best practice and Code of Practice for following the Public Pound.

Applications

Make sure you read the guidance notes below for information on who is eligible to apply and how much you can apply for.  Applications –

  • to both pots will be assessed by an assessment panel, who will make their funding recommendations to the Teviot and Liddesdale area partnership
  • will only be assessed once all the supporting documents have been received
