SCOTTISH FIRE & RESCUE SERVICE (SFRS) – SERVICE DELIVERY REVIEW – CONSULTATION

Following on from a very well-attended Public Meeting hosted by HCC on Wednesday, 25^th June in Hawick Town Hall, you are encouraged to complete the SFRS Survey (link below) to provide your views on proposed cuts.  Encourage your family and friends too to complete.

 

Hawick Fire Station is currently wholetime manned 24/7, and the proposal is to cut that wholetime cover to week days Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm, with night times and weekend  cover on a retained on-call basis only.

 

The strong feelings expressed at our Meeting clearly indicate that this proposal is not acceptable, however, Hawick folks need to ensure their voices are heard.  Sign the Petition circulating around the town’s shops and supermarkets if you have not already done so, contact your local Councillor, MP, MSP and make sure you complete the SFRS Survey by clicking here to let the SFRS know directly, we are not accepting their proposal.
